About multi-factor authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an additional security measure for your Nexus account that requires users to enter an offline security code.
Before you set up your account
Critical things you must know about multi-factor authentication (MFA) in Riffyn Nexus:
The Riffyn Administrator in your organization must enable MFA. You cannot activate it individually. If you are the Riffyn administrator for your organization, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to enable MFA for all your Nexus users in your organization.
If the Riffyn Administrator in your organization enables MFA, you cannot deactivate it. You can only set and reset the Authenticator Verification in your Security Settings.
Download Google Authenticator
To generate the offline security code, follow these steps.
Go to the app store on your mobile device.
Download the Google Authenticator app.
Riffyn uses Google Authenticator to generate secure codes each time you log in to your Riffyn account. The synchronization mechanism that generates secure codes operates without internet access. So you can even use it on an airplane when you do not have access to your mobile network or WIFI.
