Process Navigation Features

Riffyn provides many ways to navigate the steps of a process, from both the design and measure modes.


Design - Step Navigation

  1. Group of Steps:
    1.  View the steps within a group by clicking on the group icon in the top right corner of any group.
    2. Exiting a group: click on any section of the breadcrumb running across the top.

  2. Tasks:
    1. All tasks contained within the currently viewed group can be viewed by clicking on any empty part of the Design Canvas. The breadcrumb in the top right corner of any task can be used to navigate directly to its step.

    2. Navigate directly to the step containing the first (or last) task of a process using the Info Sidebar menu:

    3. Navigate to the step containing the next (or previous) task of the end-to-end process task list by clicking on the right-facing (or left-facing) arrow in the task list

  3. Step Viewer:
    1. Open the step viewer in the bottom panel by selecting "View Step Order" from the Design (or Measure) menus at the top left corner of the Design Canvas

    2. Clicking on the name of any step in the Step Viewer will navigate to the corresponding step in the Design Canvas and Info Sidebar:

    3. You can also open the Step Viewer by selecting "View Step Order" from the context menu that is opened by right clicking on any step in the Design Canvas (that is not part of a linked process):


Measure - Step Navigation

  1. Anchors: Clicking the "anchors" that appear in the headers of each input (or output) resource type will navigate to the previous (or next) step where that same resource type appears as an output (or input).
    If the same resource type is merging from (or splitting to) two or more steps, the anchor will appear with the word "Multiple":

    Hovering over the anchor will allow selection from multiple steps.
    The anchors can be used to enter the split-screen interface for viewing data on two steps simultaneously. Once in split-screen interface, the anchor icons can be selected to expand or contract the highlighted run path according to connected Material Flows:
