Three types of flows in your experiments

A Riffyn SDE process and experiment represents 3 distinct types of flows in your experiments:

 

  1. Material Flow - the flow of materials, equipment, and samples through as series of transformative steps
    • Specified as a Process Flow Diagram using Riffyn SDE's Design Canvas in Design Mode.
    • Material transformations are represented as steps, and materials flow between steps as inputs and outputs, represented by connections between steps.

 

  1. Workflow - how users perform the process:
    • Specified as the Procedure on each step in a Process in the Sidebar of Design and Measure Modes.
    • Operations to be performed at a step are represented as tasks for that particular step.

 

  1. Data Flow - how data is related throughout the process:
